THE GREATEST CREW IN MUSCLE BEACH HISTORY
I am Donald Williams Jr. I am going to tell you a story about the greatest crew in Muscle Beach history, The Original Muscle Beach Hogs.
We became the greatest crew in Muscle Beach history because of our dedication and diverse crew of men of all nationalities with one common goal, to lift as much as we can as often as we could! One year Joe Mack, Tony Mathews and myself made it to 350 days out of 365. That's what you call Hog Style!
In 1981, when I joined "The Hogs" it was Joe Mack, Rufus aka Raw Dog, a brother named mouse, and myself. I was 19 yrs old when I met a brother named Charles Chapman. He was over 6ft tall buffed and very chiseled. Charles brought me to Muscle Beach and introduced me to Joe Mack, Rufus aka Raw Dog, and Mouse. These brothers did not miss a weekend at Muscle Beach.
Unfortunately, in 1982 Mouse suddenly passed away, may he rest in peace. These three brothers and myself were the beginning of the Hogs. In 1983, the Hogs started to grow into a movement, which included the likes of: Danny Trejo, Craig Monson, Donny boy, Charles Chapman, Joe aka GQ, Tony Mathews, Slim, Bruce, Paul, Bernard, Big Wes, Suge Knight, Young Will, Steve, James Mack, Frankie, Travis the videographer and many others. The Hog Logo was printed in 1985, we didn't know it at the time, but we were making history.
